Jeff Robertson started his first company, Dynamic Medical Systems, Inc., in 1995 out of a garage and a one-room storage unit. After a period of 5 years and 50 employees, Dynamic had successfully become the largest wound care and therapy equipment provider for the Long Term Care industry in California and one of the top three regional specialized DME companies in the country. Dynamic Medical Systems, Inc. was later acquired by Invacare in September of 2011, which was the largest DME transaction in the U.S that year.

On the heels of his success with Dynamic Medical Systems, Inc., he set out to make his entry into healthcare informatics. Challenged by the pace of change and lack of technology in the Long Term Care and DME market, he saw the potential for software and technology in Medical Practices. The new EHR technology was a potential disruptor to the antiquated process of paper charting and handwritten documentation. He formed Nexsys in February of 1997, seeing a tremendous opportunity to automate the charting process in physician clinics. He was attracted to the intersection of Healthcare and Technology and with the help of his mentor, a PhD in Process Engineering from Stanford University, he began to see the vision of an efficient and effective Electronic Health Record and the role it could play in the outpatient physician’s office. It was under the guiding hand and vision of Dr. Koo that EMR/EHR became his focus for over 10 years, as Nexsys was at the forefront of the wave of adoption of electronic medical records in the outpatient setting.

In 2005, Jeff saw the natural transition from an EHR- and IT-focused company to a Revenue Cycle Management Company. Nexsys soon evolved into a service provider that could leverage the client's existing software and infrastructure and build a formidable solution for Revenue Cycle Management. One that combines incredibly talented people utilizing the best technology available to support their efforts.

With the growth of the Revenue Cycle Division, Nexsys found itself being pulled into more services and providing more solutions to our clients. The Practice Management Division was born out of this need. Since 2011, we have added services beyond Revenue Cycle Management and have increased our role in each of the practices we serve, and have matured into a full-service Practice Management company providing end-to-end services and solutions to Independent Physician Clinics. With a team of Accountants, an experienced and savvy Healthcare IT expert, and supported by a team of Certified Professional Coders. Our Management team is the best in the business and helps us achieve the amazing results we have for our clients, whom we call partners.
