A passion for Healthcare is the best way to describe Jeff Robertson. He has a unique, varied, and extensive background in Healthcare that covers a wide array of experience encompassing 30 years. Jeff is board-certified by the MGMA as a Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) and is certified in Financial Management (FMC). Jeff is also an active Healthcare Business Management Association (HBMA) member. He keeps his knowledge current and focuses on future trends and initiatives and how they affect our clients and their Clinics. Jeff has been actively running the Revenue Cycle Management and Practice Management divisions since 1997. Jeff Robertson, CMPE, FMC,  has spent over 25 years working with Independent Physician Clinics, focusing on Medical Billing/Revenue Cycle Management, Healthcare IT, Clinical Workflow Analysis, and Medical Bookkeeping and Financials. His passion for teaching, consulting, and finding a better, more efficient way to build processes into a clinic has led to him being labeled the “Practice Fixer.”

To date, he has installed, configured,    trained, and consulted over 500 Independent Physician Clinics across the country and has learned valuable lessons from each of them to share with future clients. He approaches all Independent Physicians as "partners" and not as clients.

Debbie leads the Revenue Cycle Division at Nexsys and shares her knowledge and experience which she has accumulated over 12+ years managing the Revenue Cycle Division which includes, Policies and Procedures, KPIs, Maximum Efficiency, and pulling every dollar out of the work our Physician clients perform. She excels at managing our Client’s accounts and facilitating and supporting the Nexsys team to ensure all of our clients are given the dedication and detail that each account requires. Debbie has proven to have excellent communication skills with our clients. Debbie is also responsible for helping to formulate and prepare complex commission structures for some of our larger groups. She is a valuable part of the Nexsys leadership team.

Julius has been at the forefront of Healthcare IT  for more than 30 years. He utilizes his accumulated experience as Senior Systems and Network Administrator to quickly analyze the variety of IT, Data, and Security challenges to provide the most effective and efficient solutions. Since Julius joined Nexsys, he has integrated his vast IT knowledge with the understanding of Electronic Medical Records systems. This resulted in helping all Nexsys clients have operational integrity of their EMRs and information systems. Julius has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering and has MCSE (Microsoft) and CCNA (Cisco) certifications. He enjoys sports and loves playing tennis. He and his wife have two daughters.

Gelson Vieira is a 25 plus year veteran in the area of finance, with 8 years of experience in external audit at Coopers & Lybrand. He also spent time with the internal auditing department in Europe and the Middle East during his years at AIG Insurance Company.  
Gelson has led the Practice Management Division for Nexsys for over 8 years and in that capacity has managed the Medical Bookkeeping and Financials for our client Medical Practices throughout the country.  Additionally, Gelson manages the Accounts Payables, Accounting, and Payroll, as well as the special reporting needs of our clients. He is an invaluable member of our team and to each of our clients who rely on his accuracy, integrity, and accountability. 

Kelly is an incredibly valuable member of our team. She leads the Nexsys Ortho/Spine team and provides 14 years of Coding and expertise with some of the busiest Ortho and Spine Surgeons in Southern California. She has a  proven ability to work with complex situations and provide a high level of attention to detail.  Her experience in various specialties’/positions along with her distinguished career in Coding surgeries and managing accounts, helps not only our Nexsys team but the clients she serves.

Alex has been a vital team member and mentor for Nexsys since joining our team in 2016. Alex is a trusted source for taking care of all of our clients needs and reports. Alex plays a key role in providing analysis and data to help both Nexsys Management as well as our clients; to make informed decisions supported by Data and Metrics. Alex is supporting our clients with everything from Coding help, payer analysis as well as helping the patients that put their faith in our clients and who we are all here to support. Her positive attitude and tremendous knowledge is a big part of the Nexsys culture that we try to share with all of our clients.

Lorena joined Nexsys Billing & Practice Management with experience in many different Physician specialties. For 17 years, Lorena has worked in the field and demonstrated her work ethic, determination, and a great attitude. These skills and attributes have enabled her to excel and do an outstanding job with our clients. She is AAPC certified and a great teammate, and a valuable resource for her clients.

Ines has been a great addition to the Nexsys team. She brings a wealth of knowledge of technology,  a graduate degree in business, and billing expertise in multiple specialties, a unique drive for success, and a focus on her clients. Ines is a leader on the team and is very professional and creative in the ways she solves problems. Her education and background in Revenue Cycle Management have enabled her to excel at Nexsys, and more importantly, her clients have greatly improved under her management.

Christina takes a lot of pride in the work she does. She has been in the medical field for 20 years and started as a medical assistant. She was then provided the opportunity to do help and assist with medical billing, and she never looked back. 

17 years later, she has now worked with various specialties including Dermatology, family practice, internal medicine, infectious disease, geriatrics and mental health,   One of her strongest specialties is Cardiology. Christina is in process of pursuing her CPC. She continues to grow and learn and is a valuable member of the Nexsys team.

Edith has been excelling at medical billing for over  11 years.. She has always been an extremely friendly and approachable professional who builds trusting relationships with the providers and their office staff. She has worked with different specialties including Family Practice, OBGYN, Internal Medicine, Geeneral Surgery, and Psychology. One of her greatest strengths is always being open to learning and growing in every aspect of the business.

Cathy has built an impressive career founded on adapting to different software and processes. She has worked with large groups and sophisticated platforms with steep learning curves. Cathy is a vital member of the Nexsys team and brings wisdom and experience to all of our clients and co-workers.

Jerson has been an IT System Administrator/Engineer for over 15 years. He has extensive experience as a Senior Technical Support Administrator and Network Engineer. Jerson also helps Nexsys clients with Automated Eligibility, Registration Denials and plays a vital role assisting the RCM Account Managers and the Client's Front Desk Teams.

Jerson focuses his time on automation and customization of the EHR for improved workflow. Jerson holds a Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering and multiple Certifications, including MTA, MCSE, and CCA-V. He spends most of his free time with his two daughters or on his hobbies in his spare time.
